Editorial Guidelines
We accept articles and letters from members of the community about the community. All residents and business people in the Glebe are welcome to submit articles and letters to the editor. Articles and letters by those outside the community may be accepted if space is available or by prior arrangement with the editor. We reserve the right to edit all articles and letters for publication. Selected articles will be published both in print and in an online version to be viewed on this website www.glebereport.ca.
Articles and Letters
Material must be received in the office by 5 p.m. on editorial deadline date and include, where there are photos, both photo credits and captions.
Word Count: Articles of 550-600 words; Letters of 150-350 words
Contact information: Name of author, telephone number, home address, e-mail address, website
Hard copy: Handwritten/typed, sent or dropped off to the Glebe Report office at address below
Electronic copy: Word.doc or rtf (rich text format) sent as an attachment to editor@glebereport.ca
For articles, please send one line of relevant biographical information on the author.
Photos
To be included with your article submission as an attachment with the following characteristics:
Send colour, high resolution (200-300 dpi) photos as jpg attachments (do not crop) OR bring CD, DVD, or originals for scanning to the office. If possible, include both vertical and horizontal compositions of the subject. Include captions and photo credits in the body of the e-mail.
Unless taken at a public event, obtain express permission to publish the photos in the Glebe Report for print and online version at website glebereport.ca.
If minors are identified, written permission from parents must be obtained and confirmation sent to the editor before the publication date.
